Preparation of presentations in PowerPoint or slideshows from texts written in Portuguese, English or French, providing a synthesis of the most important information in the texts and sticking as far as possible with accuracy and clarity to the original text to be conveyed to the audience.

Tips for Making Effective PowerPoint and Slideshow Presentations:

• Matching the design to the purpose;
• Number of slides versus a specific time period that is determined by the client;
• Adjust the slide timing focusing on key points of the text;
• Opening slide containing the subject of the presentation and a subtitle with the maximum of two lines with additional information (for example: name and title of the speaker);
• Closing slide of the presentation is also known as the «thank you» slide, but this should be avoided as the «thank you» should come from the speaker with a smile. Suggestions for closing a presentation will be presented.

Further to the contents of the presentation, some rules will be followed for a good presentation, in particular with regard to:
• Type of font to be used (for example «Arial» or «Calibri» which are very common and well accepted) and not mixing different types of sources. It should be used one font for the titles and another for the texts.
• Effects and colours – avoiding bold, italics and underscores and choosing colours that introduce a good contrast;
• Evaluation of the actual need to use graphic elements and levels.
